
Frederico Carpinteiro
Frederico Carpinteiro is a former student of Bioengineering – Biomedical Engineering (2009 – 2014) at Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto (FEUP). During the Integrated Master, Frederico was a trainee at INEB (working in geoepidemiology) and a member of BioStar research group.
During this last experience, a new idea came up. A few years later, Adapttech, his current startup project, was born.
After the graduation, he attended a few acceleration programs, like COHiTEC by COTEC Portugal, a training program in technology commercialization. In 2015, Frederico and Adapttech team were also selected to participate in InRes program by Carnegie Mellon Portugal, with an immersion period in the United States. Both opportunities helped him to go deep into the business field and develop the project into a company.
Nowadays, Adapttech is a biomedical startup that develops innovative, smart and wearable technologies to help people with physical limitations improve their quality of life. Therefore, he is walking the entrepreneurship path, trying to achieve success in creating is own business and change the world in his own way.
