At this year’s Symposium, we chose to support APPC (Associação do Porto de Paralisia Cerebral). This institution, based in Porto since 1974, emerged from the lack of support felt by the parents of the children and young people with cerebral palsy. Here in Porto, they have a rehabilitation center, several centers for occupational activities, educational and community centers, and also a center for investigation and development on the neurological diseases, which, alongside with national research groups, tries to provide a better future and equal opportunities to the young people with cerebral palsy.
